Welcome at the website
of our vacation home "Fin Du Monde"
Situated in the beautiful green Haute-Vienne (Limousin) region of France,
the ideal spot to disconnect from the daily crazy merry-go-round.
The French have a nice expression for the location of this little paradise,
it's called "au fin du monde" or "at the end of the world".
This cottage, a former railway house built in 1870, is completely quiet
and private between the Vienne river and forests.
The access road winds between meadows and farms with breathtaking views over the Limousin hills.
Once you reach the level crossing, the road ends, with the cottage on the right, and beyond that just nature: bienvenue á la Fin du Monde

Located next to Millevaches, a large national Park of 314ha in Limousin and with the river Vienne in our backyard ...
and 300 meters away from the nearest neighbors... (who are by the way very lovely people!)
where you can take a deeeep breath
and enjoy the peace and the awesome view...
or relax on a sunny terrace...
or look at the slowly passing trains...
As it was once a small simple railway house, built in 1870, it is located right
next to a quiet railway... where also an old steam-locomotive sounds its horn a few times a year.
Trains passes by a few times every day (otherwise you wouldn't see anyone all day)
This happens at very low speed and is absolutely not a nuisance. If you wave to the driver, he will happily honk back, which is also special!

with the "Parc Naturel Régional de Millevaches en Limousin" pure nature in the neighborhood there are more than enough trails and leisure possibilities to choose from
